Augustinus Bader The Skin Lab, London
A luxurious skincare experience powered by science and serious know-how.

Those who are equally fascinated by Succession and the beauty world might have noticed the striking blue and copper bottle of Augustinus Bader cream in a scene from the series, on the bathroom shelf of the competitive sibling Kendall Roy. While Roy may be a fictional character, you can easily imagine him indulging in a treatment at Augustinus Bader’s The Skin Lab, nestled in London’s Mayfair district.
In the latest season of Emily in Paris, the main character Emily takes center stage as she prepares a campaign presentation for the brand’s hair products. Unlike their subtle appearance in Succession, Augustinus Bader products are now front and center, playing a key role in the show’s mission to spotlight and celebrate luxury brands.
In the real world, this coveted brand, beloved by celebrities like Victoria Beckham, Gwyneth Paltrow, Hailey Bieber, and Jennifer Aniston, offers a range of advanced treatments at The Skin Lab for the skin and body, including oxygen therapy, LED therapy, radiofrequency, and cryotherapy.
From the moment you step into the skincare haven the elegant, curved design elements make you feel as if you’ve entered a luxurious cocoon. Your journey begins in the skin analysis area, where you sink into a plush chair in the brand’s signature blue hue. As your skin analysis results appear on the screen, a therapist dives into a detailed explanation of your skin’s condition. You’ll receive information on topics ranging from how well you’ve protected your skin from the sun to the levels of inflammation and wrinkles. This thorough assessment also helps tailor the treatment specifically to your needs, ensuring a personalized and indulgent experience.
The design of the treatment room amplifies the sensation of being nestled in a cocoon, making you feel completely at ease. Your skin and body are now in the capable hands of a skilled therapist. Using products infused with the brand’s patented TF8 technology—designed to support cellular regeneration—your therapist meticulously customizes your session to meet your specific needs. The combination of LED and oxygen therapy alongside the traditional skincare routine made my experience exceptionally effective.
Wondertip: During the skin analysis, you’re given a preview of what your face might look like at 80. While this glimpse into the future can be a bit unsettling, your therapist quickly reassures you that this scenario only applies if you neglect your skincare and sun protection. This insight gave me the extra push I needed to stay committed to my skincare routine.
